Human Resources Assistant
Part-time to potential Full-Time
Location: Weatherford, Texas | In-Office
INOVA Partners, LLC (“Inova”) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our Veterinary Practice Management team in Weatherford, Texas. This is a part-time, in-office position (less than 30 hours per week) offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment supporting veterinary professionals across the country. This position could potentially move to full-time (30+ hours per week), depending upon staffing and business needs.
At Inova, we provide tailored management solutions to busy veterinary practices, including bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, financial analysis, HR management, consulting, marketing, and IT support.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will support the HR Manager in delivering timely, accurate, and highly confidential services. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with employee recruitment and onboarding
- Support benefits administration, including open enrollment
- Process and review insurance statements
- Maintain and update personnel files
- Customize and prepare HR forms and documentation
- Monitor and report on workers’ compensation claims
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of benefits administration and employee onboarding
- Familiarity with HR compliance and procedures, including:
- FMLA, FLSA, COBRA
- E-Verify, ACA, OSHA reporting, and new hire documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to confidentiality and accuracy
- Friendly, team-oriented demeanor
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment\
Preferred Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience in a public or private organization
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop (preferred) or similar HR/payroll software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 25 lbs.
